WPI gauge yarn measuring tool.

This is a hand turned inch and metric wool yarn measuring tool. Beautifully made in Oak wood. A hook has been inserted so you can hang the item , using your own favourite wool or ribbon. 

This tool is for knitters and spinners etc. and is used to determine the WPI (wraps per inch) or WP CM of a particular yarn or spun single. Wrap the wool around the narrow part of the tool and count how many turns there are, refer to the chart (or remember the counts) and you should have the information you need.
